鞄工房山本／ランドセル
ランドセルは、明治時代、軍隊用の鞄をもとに、学習用のかばんとして日本で独自につくられました。現在も日本の小学生はランドセルで６年間通学します。鞄工房山本はその代表メーカーのひとつで、素材の皮からすべて工房内で手作りで作られます。品質の高さやカラー、デザインの豊富さなどが高く評価されています。

R15「そして６年間十分に使えるように、しっかり作っているんですよ。」

工房の方 R23「これは今、革をうすくしています。」
主人公 R24「なぜ革をうすくしているのですか？」
工房の方 R25「この後のこうていで折ったり曲げたりするんです。」
R26「でも、厚いままだと使いにくいので、」
R27「ここでうすくして調整していきます。 で、これが、」
R28「うすくした革です。」
主人公 R29「すごい…こまかいですね。」
工房の方 R30「９つのひだを作っています。」
主人公 R31「どういったところが難しいですか？」
工房の方 R32「この９つのひだを同じ大きさにするところが難しいです。」
主人公 R33「職人さんってすごいなぁ。」
工房の方 R34「また来てくださいね。」

Randoseru was originated as a Japanese school bag, based on an army bag. It is still common in Japan that primary school students go to school with Randoseru for 6 years.
